It’s the second-to-last day of the A to Z Challenge, and I can’t believe I’ve managed to make it through. Provided I manage to post tomorrow. 🙂 Today’s letter is “Y”, and I’m writing about:
There’s abundant opportunities in life to say no, but that also means there are abundant opportunities to say yes. Even when it’s scary, or you’re uncertain, sometimes the best thing to do is say yes.
Now, don’t get me wrong-saying no can be a mighty powerful tool in your toolbox, and there’s times when it’s necessary to say no. But sometimes, we get nervous. No seems easier than yes, and it becomes our default answer. We want to avoid new things or awkward situations, so we shy away from opportunities. We shy away from the things God is calling us to do.
Next time the word “no” starts to cross your lips, think a moment. Are you saying no for a valid reason, or are your fears preventing you from embracing the plan God has for you? Don’t underestimate the power of yes. Not necessarily on the world, but on your life.
Because when you say yes, hearts and lives are changed, yours included. <–Click to Tweet!
